How does it work? Tell us what you need filmed, we’ll shoot it for you and give you the native Red RAW .r3d files (and any other converted files if requested) and you pay a rate starting from $399. The footage then goes into our library for others to purchase on a royalty-free basis.
Why is it so inexpensive? Are you guys crazy?
Yes, but you benefit from our insanity! First of all there’s no catch. Starting at $399 we’ll shoot your scene which includes up to six clips using the Red One 4k camera (we’ll soon have Red’s new 5k camera the Epic) and we will then give you the native Red RAW .r3d files. The trade off for getting such high quality footage for drastically less than what the cost to produce it is, is that it will go into our footage library for others to license on a royalty-free basis. On every shoot we do, we will be making an investment in your footage by funding the majority of the cost. We take on the risk of your shoot in the hopes that it will have royalty-free licensing potential later on.
When would I need your Custom Red Stock service?
Anytime you need general footage and don’t want to pay the thousands of dollars it costs to hire a Red camera crew or anytime you’re considering buying stock footage. Sometimes you just need one or two clips and other times to save money, you want to make a whole commercial or video entirely from stock footage. Obviously when you need exclusive propriety footage, you need exclusive propriety footage and you wouldn’t want that footage ending up in some stock footage library. But for all of your other footage needs, that’s where Custom Red Stock will pay off hugely by giving you the high-quality custom video you need while saving you thousands of dollars in the process!
Rather than buying the same tired 'ole low quality stock footage you've seen in a thousand other videos and rather than hiring a crew with a Red 4k camera that will cost a minimum of $2,500 with more typical costs running $3,500 to $7,000 and higher depending upon exactly what's needed in terms of actors, locations, props, etc. - you pay a rate starting at a couple hundred and we shoot the scenes you want and give you the native raw footage! In exchange for this extremely low cost method of attaining high-end imagery, the footage will then be made available for others to purchase on a royalty-free basis.
